Show Supplies

Having all supplies available during setup is a definite bonus, and will make the setup of the showhall run smoothly. It is really nice for a club to treat showhall setup as an enjoyable get-together, and have all members working together for a purpose rather than have club members who are constantly standing around doing nothing or complaining. This can be helped if each person knows the job they are to do during setup prior to getting to the showhall and comes prepared to do it. Running a show requires lots of patience on the part of all club members.
Here's a list of suggestions for required show supplies.
- Walkie Talkies/ PA system
- Tables (required for cages in judging rings per CFA Show Rules)
- Judging Cages
- Benching Cages
- Chairs (sufficient number, i.e. at least one per exhibitor, and approx. 30 per judging ring)
- Paper Towels (lots - usually 2-3 cases for a 6 ring show, ripped apart if possible)
- Disinfectant - suggest Virkon-S, A-33, Nolvasan
- Spray Bottles
- Food & Drinks for Judges
- Cooler for each ring
- Ring decorations
- CFA Ring posters
- Cage card numbers
- Table skirts
- Judges Books
- Flat ribbons or permanents
- Rosettes
- garbage bags or containers
- Paper or plastic covering for under benching cages (may be supplied by cage setup service)
- Litter
- Container for Litter
- Scoop for Litter
- Row signs
- Benching number cards
- Garbage Bags
- Catalogs for Exhibitors
- List of who still needs to pay.
- Benching chart
- Vendor layout
- Cash Box
- $1 and $5 bills to make change
- Admission sign
- Pens/Pencils
- Paper clips
- First Aid Kit (required by CFA Show Rules)
- List of judge transportation times (so you can remember to pick up everyone and get them back
to the airport even though the show may be going on)
- Phone numbers of cage vendor, airlines that judges are arriving on, show hotel. Be sure and know the phone number of the show hall in case anyone needs a call returned in an emergency.

- Thumb tacks or push pins
- Be sure and wear clothes with pockets when setting up, so you can keep these supplies handy rather than keep running back and forth across the showhall to get them.
